Terms & Conditions

*The below Terms and Conditions are only a TLDR for the general public in plain words. Our official confidential terms are sent to clients prior to engagement along with any updates.

Introduction:

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of Rollover’s services (“Services”), which includes referring talented candidates to tech startups. By using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our Services.

Services:

Rollover provides Services to tech startups by referring highly talented and qualified candidates from top tech giants such as Google and Meta. We offer three types of candidates: (i) recently interviewed candidates who are deemed exceptionally talented and qualified, but there is no space for them in their current company; (ii) laid-off candidates who are exceptionally talented and qualified, but lost their job due to unforeseeable reasons such as recession; and (iii) employees from tech giants who are looking for a job elsewhere. Our Services act as a recruiting agency or headhunter that matches these candidates with tech startups. We charge a cost-per-hire fee of 15-20% only if we find the right candidate for the tech startup that they end up hiring.

Candidate Referral Process

Once a tech startup has requested our Services, we will provide them with three highly talented and qualified candidates that match their preferences for the tech role they are trying to fill. The tech startup has the option to reach out to these candidates, or to say that they do not prefer these candidates. If they choose the latter option, we will provide them with another set of three candidates on a rolling basis whenever we find someone who seems like a good match.

Liability:

We want to make it clear that all engineering managers or recruiters from tech giants who refer candidates to us are in no way liable for how poor a candidate performs after they are hired elsewhere. Similarly, Rollover is not liable for how poorly a candidate performs after they are hired elsewhere. It is the responsibility of the tech startup to conduct a thorough screening process of the candidates we refer to them.

Payment:

Tech startups that choose to hire a candidate that we have referred to them are required to pay us a cost-per-hire fee of 15-20%. If the tech startup chooses not to hire any of the candidates we have referred to them, they will not be charged.

Penalty:

If a tech startup chooses to hire a candidate that we have referred to them, and they do not pay us the agreed-upon cost-per-hire fee, a penalty will be incurred. The penalty fee will be equal to the cost-per-hire fee plus 10% interest, and it will be added to the original cost-per-hire fee.
